THE LABORATORY AT GALLERY PROJECT
Gallery Project presents The Laboratory, a multi-media exhibit featuring recent work of graduate art students from Eastern Michigan University and Wayne State University. It opens on Wednesday, December 6, and runs through Saturday, December 30, with an Opening Reception on Saturday, December 9, from 6-9.
The Laboratory is curated by two Gallery Project Collaborators: Adrian Hatfield, Assistant Professor of Painting at Wayne State University; and Jennifer Locke, Assistant Professor of Drawing at Eastern Michigan University.
This exhibition is the culmination of a shared process through which graduate students from both programs and all disciplines were selected based on the investigative nature of their work. The Laboratory is a place where groups of individuals work together toward common goals.
Research and experiments take place. Questions are answered, and new questions and ideas rise to the surface as the work comes together. Collective and social dialogue is encouraged, and informal networks for further investigation are created
Gallery Project is located at 215 South Fourth Avenue in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Winter gallery hours are: Tuesday through Thursday, noon to 6; Friday and Saturday, noon to 9; and Sunday, noon to 4. The gallery is closed on Mondays. For more information, call 734-997-7012 or visit the website at thegalleryproject.com.
